Default 2008 E-Discovery Market Trends

The recent e-discovery trends report revealed some changes in e-discovery from a survey of companies in the United States and United Kingdom.

From your perspective, what trends are you seeing? Are you seeing any changes in
  • E-discovery technology
  • Money spent on e-discovery
  • E-discovery practices/methods
  • Law firm outsourcing vs. internal capabilities
  • others?
If possible, provide a little information about what your perspective is (working for an e-discovery service provider, large firm paralegal, etc.).

Default eDiscovery Trends

I don't have much to add myself, but here are some reports from others regarding e-discovery trends for 2008:

Clearwell Systems recently published its Top 10 Trends In E-Discovery.

Eric Sinrod of Duane Morris recently noted what he saw as Current E-Discovery Trends.

Mary Mack recently discussed how the subprime mortgage crisis will affect e-discovery in 2008.

In February 2008, Dennis Kennedy predicted Eight Legal Technology Trends for 2008.

For older electronic discovery market trends, see Craig Ball's e-discovery predictions for 2008 and ILTA's 2007 trends.
